This Clarification Text has been prepared to inform data subjects regarding the processing and protection of personal data by Kirişçi Law Firm within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“Law” or “PDPL”).
Your personal data consists of the information provided by you through attorney, legal intern, or summer intern applications under the “Careers” section of our website, as well as the data processed in a physical environment belonging to candidates who are invited for interviews or whose applications are accepted.
These data comprise, whether provided electronically or physically: full name, date of birth, place of birth, gender, mother’s/father’s name, Turkish ID number, nationality, copy of identity document, copy of diploma, signature, e-mail address, residential address, home phone number, work phone number, mobile phone number, information regarding school or workplace, driving license details, educational background, work history, information on any conditions preventing employment in the applied position, other details submitted in the resume (CV) by the candidate, information obtained from references if provided, and statements made by the candidate during the interview.
Your personal data collected on the legal grounds specified in this Clarification Text may be processed and shared within the framework of the personal data processing conditions set forth in Articles 5 and 6 of the Personal Data Protection Law. Your personal data may be collected physically via forms prepared in the office or electronically through our website in accordance with your declaration, information, and consent.
Additionally, your access date and time, the URL address of the referring application website, retrieved files, amount of transferred data, browser type and version, operating system, IP address, and domain name of your internet service provider are automatically transmitted by your web browser to our internet server and recorded in data log files without seeking explicit consent. These data are used strictly for statistical analyses aimed at improving our website and are deleted immediately thereafter.
Your personal data are processed by Kirişçi Law Firm under the personal data processing conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the PDPL for the following purposes:
Your personal data may be transferred to Kirişçi Law Firm’s business partners, suppliers, legally authorized public institutions and organizations, and legally authorized private entities within the framework of the data processing conditions and purposes set forth in Articles 8 and 9 of the PDPL. Your personal data are retained for the periods stipulated in applicable legislation. In cases where no specific period is prescribed by law, your personal data are retained within Kirişçi Law Firm for a period ranging from 1 to 3 months.

Kirişçi Law Firm responds to requests from data subjects who wish to exercise these rights within the limits provided for by the Personal Data Protection Law, within a maximum of thirty (30) days as stipulated therein. For third parties to submit an application on behalf of a data subject, a special power of attorney issued by a notary public on behalf of the applicant by the data subject is required. Kirişçi Law Firm reserves the right to request additional information from the applicant to verify whether they are indeed the data subject and may direct questions to clarify matters specified in the application.
